Caitlin Berry-Kilgour, a PhD student in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Dunedin wins the first place award for best rapid-fire presentation in support of her poster.
Caitlin’s thesis topic is “Improving cutaneous wound healing outcomes using novel biomaterials” and her presentation explaining the use of decellularised New Zealand seaweeds as cellulose scaffolds for skin grafts was well presented and fascinating, a potential natural sustainable product for future MedTech use.
