The Department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Medicine is proud to announce that Dr Axel Norberg, a recently completed PhD student from the CReaTE Research Group, has been awarded the KiwiNet Emerging Innovator Award.
This award marks the beginning of Dr Norberg's journey in KiwiNet's Emerging Innovator Programme, which focuses on strengthening entrepreneurship and nurturing commercial aspirations among New Zealand's scientific community. Axel is motivated to take his research and turn it into products that can help other researchers develop high fidelity models of human disease to advance novel therapies.
The KiwiNet Emerging Innovator Programme offers targeted support to public research scientists looking to develop their commercialisation expertise and become the innovators of tomorrow. The programme provides funding and mentorship to help scientists build industry connections and demonstrate proof-of-concept for groundbreaking inventions.
Well done Axel.
