Dr Graeme Downes – MNZM for services to music
Otago alumnus and staff member from 2000-2020, Dr Graeme Downes, was awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit MNZM for services to music and music education.
Dr Downes is a rock musician and founding member of The Verlaines, and a former senior lecturer at the University.
