Student Health advises all students to attend their exams whenever possible.

If you are unwell and unable to attend your exam you should arrange an appointment with your GP, Student Health or Dunedin Urgent Doctors on the day of your illness.

As of 30 September 2024, the availability of free COVID tests (RATS) ceased. RATS are still available for purchase from some pharmacies.
If you complete a RAT and it is positive, please follow MoH guidelines and contact Student Health for advice on exam special consideration paperwork requirements.

In general, the advice for anyone that is unwell with a respiratory illness:

  • Stay away from work/lectures if infectious (producing secretions)
  • If you need to go out to attend Exams / GP appointments or obtain goods from a pharmacy / supermarket etc please wear a mask
  • Rest until asymptomatic
  • If your symptoms are not improving call Healthline or book an appointment with your GP
