With the 150th anniversary celebration of the Otago Medical School not far away, we have brought some related historical images to life with colour for you.

Did you know that the first iteration of Dunedin Hospital on Great King Street was once home to New Zealand’s first world’s fair? Dunedin was the host of the New Zealand Exhibition in 1865, and a grand Italianate building designed by local architects William Mason and William Clayton was constructed to house the exhibition. This building became the city's hospital after the exhibition concluded. The exhibition building was eventually demolished in 1933.
