Yasmin Abdul Aziz was awarded best oral presentation for her current project “Insulin Pump Commencement and Initial Education – Current Practice in Australia and New Zealand” at the New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes (NZSSD) annual conference in Rotorua last week.
NZSSD is the national advisory body on scientific and clinical diabetes care and standards and has over 400 members (http://www.nzssd.org.nz/). This conference was largely attended by paediatricians, nurses and other clinicians as well as researchers in the area of diabetes.
Yasmin has returned to the Otago School of Pharmacy to complete her PGCert, under the direction of Dr Hesh Al-Sallami, in preparation for her PhD.
