Lorna Daniels was last night awarded the PhD Student Research Publication Prize at the AUPS annual meeting 2018 in Sydney.
The award recognised the publication of her paper Inhibition of calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase II restores contraction and relaxation in isolated cardiac muscle from type 2 diabetic rats in the journal Cardiovascular Diabetology.
Ms Daniels' research was completed as part of her PhD work with Dr Jeff Erickson, Associate Professor Fiona McDonald, and Dr Regis Lamberts in the Department of Physiology.
