Otago Medical School works with government, government agencies and health providers to ensure that our graduates are safe, competent and effective and that our students learn in appropriately managed situations. Many staff members also serve on governing bodies such as the New Zealand Medical Council's Education Committee and the board of Health Workforce New Zealand to ensure a close alignment between medical education and the needs and processes of medical practice in New Zealand.
