Otago graduates are kept in touch with the University via the Development and Alumni Relations Office, which maintains the alumni database to distribute Otago communication.
Medical graduates automatically become members of the Otago Medical School Alumni Association.

The Otago Medical School Alumni Association comprises all Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) graduates, current academic staff, and former academic staff of the Otago Medical School.
The Executive is Dunedin-based, and meets regularly to manage the major current activities of the Association, which are a series of monthly Dunedin presentations on the history of medicine, and the management of the Association's stunning collection of artefacts.
