Medical education research MedMoodle page
A resource page for medical education research has been created on Moodle for OMS. It contains current research projects occurring at OMS; a PDF of a selection of different journals to publish your research with metric information; and links to books, journal articles, podcasts and Youtube videos around different aspects of conducting medical/health professional research.

Statistical support
If you need statistical help for your research project, the Centre for Biostatistics in the Division of Health Sciences is here to help. We strongly recommend you contact the Centre in the early stages of designing your research project – this will significantly help the quality of your project and avoid any unforeseen future pitfalls before you are too far along in the research process.

Medical education organisations
Otago Medical School has corporate memberships of key medical education organisations, providing opportunities for research publication and conference presentation. These memberships allow reduced rates for conference attendance, and some access to other research resources. ANZAHPE
The Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (ANZAHPE) is the peak organisation for practitioners involved in the education and training of health professionals in Australia and New Zealand. This is a friendly and collegial organisation which welcomes student, novice and experienced researchers, making it a helpful starting place for those interested in medical education research.
AMEE
The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) is a worldwide organisation that promotes international excellence in education in the healthcare professions across the continuum of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education. AMEE offers webinars that may be accessible to OMS staff: please contact Karin Warnaar for login information.
ASME
The Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME) is a UK-based organisation supporting research-informed best practice across the continuum of medical education, by encouraging and publishing research.
