Drum Tutor
Carl started performing at the age of 15 before commencing studies in his home town of Liverpool. He has gone on to play and record around the world, touring for many years across Europe billed with acts as diverse as Tower of Power, Dream Theatre, Paul Weller, The Christians, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Michael Brecker and Joe Bonamassaa. From bars and Jazz clubs, theatres, festivals and stadiums, one of the highlights was playing the Royal Albert Hall whilst touring with B.B. King.
Carl has played for 45 years and has taught for 35 of them. He continues to perform on a regular basis as a freelance player and is the drum tutor on the Contemporary Music Performance course.
