Auditions are required for vocals or playing an instrument
You will need to audition if you want to take our musical performance papers or programmes.
Application forms and deadlines
The number of places available for music performance is determined by our resources. Entry into courses and programmes depends on the successful completion of an audition. You are encouraged to attend the audition in person at the School of Performing Arts if possible. However, you are also able to audition online.
To avoid disappointment it is advisable to audition in the year before taking a course (usually in September). However, we will accept auditions up until February prior to the start of classes, depending on staff availability.
The application deadline for programmes
The School holds live auditions in September for the performance papers MUSI 143 Solo instrumental or vocal performance, MUSI 144 Ensemble Music and MUSI 140 Performance Studies.
Performance applicants who would prefer an earlier audition should contact us to arrange an audition.
Late applications will be considered, subject to staff availability.
To arrange a late audition please contact us as soon as possible.
