Parent and Whānau experiences of babywearing with a baby born preterm in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We want to understand how parents and whānau feel about using a carrier or sling to hold babies that were born early. This practice is called "babywearing."
Join our study
Are you someone who:
- has experience of a preterm baby being admitted to a neonatal or special care baby unit in Aotearoa New Zealand within the last 5 years,
- is at least six months post discharge from the NICU/SCBU,
- is a Parent/whānau member and is 16 years or older, and
- used a sling or carrier with your preterm baby at least once?
If so, we would love to invite you to participate!
Participating in our study
If you are eligible to participate, you will be asked to take part in an interview of approximately 60–90 minutes via Zoom to discuss your experiences. You are welcome to have a support person or member of your whānau with you for the interview. You will also be invited to review and comment on initial findings.
Detailed information on the study is available via our participant information sheet.
To recognize the actual or reasonable costs involved with participating in this project, participants will receive a $50 grocery voucher for their time.
