Otago Marine Researchers are involved in a range of programs spanning the biological, physical, and earth sciences.
Past projects include understanding the Southern Ocean food web structure, the response of Antarctic fish and larval stages to environmental change and hydrocarbon pollution, and Antarctic marine and terrestrial biogeography.
Researchers have also been involved in Antarctic drilling and coring programmes (ANDRILL and IODP), which explored past climates and the response of Antarctic Ice sheets to climate change.
