A new initiative aimed at celebrating postgraduate research at Otago kicks off this August with the introduction of Graduate Research Month.
Events throughout the four-week period will focus on postgraduate research, highlighting its importance to the academic vibrancy of the University and its contribution to wider society. Others will provide those considering postgraduate research degrees with the opportunity to source information.
The ever-popular OUSA Supervisor of the Year Awards return as does the Three Minute Thesis competition following its successful inaugural event in 2009.
Also included will be research and thesis-writing workshops, quality forums and postgraduate information evenings in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. The Graduate Research Gala Ball at Larnach Castle will conclude the month on Saturday 28 August.
