Overview
p53 is a tumour suppressor gene that iencodes at least 12 isoforms. Several of the isoforms have been shown to moderate p53 activities [20-22] as well as having unique independent functions. Levels of the 133TP53 isoform are elevated in several cancers.
This project investigates the role of this isoform in cancer cell migration using a cultured human cancer cells model and quantifies alterations in cytoskeletal proteins in migration.
