Overview
Our group works at the interfaces between biochemistry, genetics, mathematics and computer science. We have a broad range of projects that include assessing genotype-phenotype relationships and studying the evolution and functions of non-coding RNAs. We have also recently started a project looking at the relationships between noisy biomolecular interactions and compartmentalisation of cells.
Please get in contact with Paul Gardner in order to discuss the different projects that are best suited to your primary interests and existing skill sets. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis.
When you get in touch, please include your CV, academic transcript, a short motivation statement (~500 words) and a copy of your research thesis. Applicants must be eligible for admission to the PhD programme at the University of Otago.
Visit the PhD and doctoral students webpage to find out more about eligibility for admission.
