The Children's Issues Centre offers four main distance learning papers. A fifth research-only paper will be available to a small number of students with a strong research background and access to research data.
These interdisciplinary papers are designed as professional development opportunities for professionals working in various areas with children, including social workers, teachers, nurses, family lawyers, police, psychologists, policy analysts, researchers, family support and community development workers.
It is expected that course participants will have a degree or professional qualification in some area relevant to children and their families. These papers all complement other courses in related disciplines, such as Health Sciences, Psychology, Law and Education at the postgraduate level.
