About Mark
Kia ora everyone. My role involves teaching and liaising with other lecturers and course convenors to develop appropriate material for effective learning. I also provide support through seminars and workshops on academic writing for students. I engage students in discussing peculiar academic challenges and provide support through one-to-one and group appointments and consultations.
Research interests
I am primarily a health policy researcher with a focus on the policy framework for the management of noncommunicable diseases particularly in low- and middle-income settings. My interests also include investigating maternal health outcomes in low resource settings as well as mental health and its associated stigma.
