Current role
"The Executive Director of Community and Allied Health (EDCAH) at South West Hospital and Health Service (Queensland Health) operationally manages a division with close to 160 staff and a budget of over AU$17 million. The division has five core programs being: oral health, mental health, chronic disease, healthy ageing and child and family health. The EDCAH is also the professional lead for all health practitioners outside medical and nursing disciplines in the SWHHS. The Community and Allied Health division is focused on reducing potentially preventable hospitalisations, seamless integrated care where our targeted interventions make a real difference to the lives of South West Queenslanders."
Your Otago experience
"The University of Otago allowed me to grow and develop my leadership skills. I had the awesome privelidge of serving on both the executives of the New Zealand Association of Pharmacy Students and the Otago University Students' Association.
"Gaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy at Otago set me up with a great foundation to pursue a career in health management. It inspired me to always look at health from the patients perspective and to do the very best you can for them."
Josh is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company directors and is expecting to complete his MBA from the University of South Australia this year.
