At Otago, I combined my BA(Hons) in Film and Media Studies with an LLB, which was an attempt to pursue my interests while also challenging myself in another area.

The combined programme has sent me down an interesting career path.
I completed my study in 2007, and was extremely lucky to find a job that used both degrees.
I have been working as a legal advisor and subsequently the legal manager at the Broadcasting Standards Authority since the beginning of 2008, and I feel it is the perfect balance between media and law.
I am responsible for managing complaints about a wide range of TV and radio programmes.
My hope is that in the future it will lead to other opportunities in the media and entertainment industries.
