In accordance with the University of Otago's Campus Memorials Policy, individuals or groups with a demonstrated link with the University may request a memorial tree or plaque to be installed on campus at their own expense. Plaques are only permitted in the yet to be designed Memorial Walk. Memorials are intended to commemorate staff, students or alumni who have passed away or a special event.

Memorial requests should be made using the form attached below and submitted to Property Services for processing. Trees should also be selected from the attached list. On receipt of requests, Property Services staff will arrange a meeting to view the two sites available for planting along the Water of Leith. All requests must be approved by the University Registrar.
