Frances Clare Jackways-Baker, B.A., L.L.B (2008)

Frances grew up in Wanaka and attended Mount Aspiring College. In 2001 she moved to Otago University to study Law and Arts and was a resident at Arana College.
Frances graduated from Otago University with a B.A., L.L.B. in 2008 and was admitted to the bar in 2010.
Gaining a Prime Minister's Scholarship enabled her to take up an internship with law firm Minter Ellison and she subsequently worked for the company in both Auckland and Melbourne before returning to work for Mitchell Mackersy in Queenstown, and to marry Craig Baker.
Frances represented Otago in basketball, netball and swimming and was a member of the Otago Rebels Netball Team for 4 years.
She loved sport and she loved learning but above all she was an outstanding young woman who was a wonderful role model and friend to all she came into contact with.
