Community Engaged Learning and Teaching at Otago
The University has a special interest group in community-engaged learning and teaching (CELT) and this wide-ranging group includes theorists, researchers and practitioners in community engagement. It has been a very productive meeting of interests including staff from across all four divisions, and on occasion the polytechnic also.
In 2013 members of the group ran two research projects exploring different aspects of community engagement and as part of one of these projects, the graphics staff from HEDC (Higher Education Development Centre) collated a lot of information about various outreach and community engagement activities and drew them together in an info graphic.
