Thesis: Trauma, Womanhood and Landscape in female-led crime drama
Charlotte is German, but emigrated to Scotland as soon as she graduated from high school. First doing an undergraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen in film and visual culture, she finished her master's in film studies at the University of St Andrews in 2019. Her research focuses on issues of representation, and how visual culture depicts and influences the lived reality of women. With that background, she is now embarking on her journey at Otago, researching the triangulation of trauma, landscape and womanhood in contemporary female-led crime drama.
