Sandhiya Gounder is from Fiji. Sandhiya holds a Master of Arts degree in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Fiji where she has also been a Lecturer in Social Science since 2009.
Her research interests are public policy, governance, ethics, national development, ethnic studies, culture and identity.
She is passionate about community service and service to humanity. Believing in values of an inclusive society, she is keen to explore the unknown sense of oneness and unity among Fijians through her PhD research.
