Sze-En Watts, Manager
Sze-En is the Manager of the Social Impact Studio. In this role, Sze-En aims to work with students to grow the giving culture at the University of Otago.
On campus Sze-En is a key point of contact for Otago students and staff seeking volunteer opportunities. Community groups and staff can also contact Sze-En to discuss and brainstorm new volunteer roles and projects.
Sze-En's volunteer history has seen her chasing cane toads and small mammals in outback Australia to living in a remote mountain village in China as a Panda Habitat Conservation Officer. She completed a Masters in Tourism at the University of Otago, focusing on volunteer tourism. After a brief stint in the youth travel industry, Sze-En jumped at the chance to establish the University Volunteer Centre, now Social Impact Studio.
