Overview
Built Environment and Active Transport to School: BEATS Study is examining transport to school habits, the neighbourhood environment and physical activity of Dunedin adolescents. Further information about the study can be found on the BEATS Study website.
In this symposium, the BEATS Research Team showcased the work accomplished to date and celebrated multi-sector collaborations between Dunedin secondary schools, community, and academia.
The BEATS Research Team shared preliminary findings from surveying over 1,200 adolescents from nine Dunedin's secondary schools in 2014.

The symposium was held at the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Otago, on Wednesday, 05 November 2014.
