Liza Bergantino Mitu
As the leader Tautiaki of the College, Liza is responsible for the overall running of the college. The hauora (health and well-being) of residents is a key focus. Liza works alongside staff to build a vibrant and positive community and enhance the college as a safe and supportive place for our residents to live.
Liza joins us from a residential hall at Te Herenga Waka (Victoria University of Wellington) where she held the role of Tautiaki. She brings a wealth of experience in education and pastoral care. She has also spent some time in Sydney, Australia as the Director of Senior Boarding and worked as a leader at Sydney University.
In her own words, Liza has felt that Ōtepoti is a second home after her boys went through the University of Otago and having such a memorable time.
In Liza’s downtime she enjoys watching sports, spending time with whanau and friends, a strong coffee and a good laugh. Liza’s two labradors, Louie and Bear will be residing at Studholme.
