The University
The University of Toronto (U of T) boasts a long legacy of excellence and achievement. U of T offers over 700 undergraduate programs and 222 graduate programs; and 800+ clubs and organizations for students to connect interests and share ideas outside the classroom. Each of U of T's three campuses offer a unique experience:
- St. George campus - in downtown Toronto.
- University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) - 33km west of the St. George campus.
- University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) - 27 km east of the St. George campus.
Toronto is Canada's largest city and a world leader in such areas as business, finance, technology, entertainment and culture. Its large population of immigrants from all over the globe has also made Toronto one of the most multicultural cities in the world.
Exchange information
- Students can attend the University of Toronto for one semester only.
- Undergraduate level exchange only.
- Minimum course load: 3 courses; maximum course load: 5 courses per academic term.
- Course numbering system: 100-level - introductory; 200-level - intermediate; 300/400-level - advanced. Y = a full course/one credit; H = a half-course/half credit.
- Each course consists of 24 lecture hours, plus additional practical or tutorial hours, per term.
- Courses in Visual Studies and Drama are generally not available.
- Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry courses with a laboratory component are extremely limited.
- Commerce courses (MGT) are not available to exchange students at the St. George campus.
- The University of Toronto offers undergraduate Computer Science programs at three campuses – Faculty of Arts & Science at the St. George campus, UTSC, and UTM. The Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Arts & Science (St. George campus) will host 20 semester students this academic year (10 students each semester). Admission priority will be given to students from institutions that have hosted U of T’s Computer Science students. Due to limited spaces, Computer Science students applying to the Faculty of Arts & Science at the St. George campus may be redirected to Scarborough campus or the Missisauga campus.
