The graduation procession

Graduation parade with pipers

The OUSA organises an informal procession through George Street prior to the ceremony. This is voluntary, but it is a great opportunity to walk along the middle of the main street of Dunedin and be acknowledged by your friends and family.

Please assemble outside the School of Dentistry on Great King Street,15 minutes prior to the departure of the procession dressed in your academic dress.

On days when two ceremonies are being held, there will be only one procession which will depart at 11:30am.

The procession will leave the School of Dentistry promptly at 11:30am accompanied by bagpipers and drummers.

From the School of Dentistry, the procession will travel up Frederick Street to the intersection with George Street, then through George Street to Moray Place, and along Moray Place to Harrop Street.
