Registering your willingness to attend a ceremony
By registering your willingness to attend a ceremony, you will be seated on the stage at the Dunedin Town Hall during the ceremony. You can also take part in the procession along the main street of Dunedin prior to the ceremony.
Academic regalia is required to be worn during the procession and at the ceremony.
Approximately three months prior to each round of ceremonies you will be able to register to attend via your eVision staff portal.
Please register your attendance at least two weeks prior to the ceremony to ensure that your name will appear on the staff procession list.

Academic dress
Hiring academic dress
Staff wanting to hire academic dress from Graduate Women (Otago) to wear at a graduation ceremony, need to submit an order via their eVision staff portal. The Graduation Office will then be charged for the hire.
Please note that Graduate Women (Otago) cannot provide academic dress for universities other than Otago, and that hoods for some Otago disciplines may not be available for staff to hire.

Collecting academic dress
To collect, go to the Academic Dress rooms located in the Basement of the Clocktower Building.
Academic dress for the graduation ceremonies can be collected on any of the following days immediately prior to each ceremony, at the times indicated below:

Returning academic dress
Academic dress for the graduation ceremonies must be returned on any of the days immediately following the graduation ceremony, at the times indicated below, note that the venue differs:

Staff tickets
Staff who would like a guest ticket for a seat in the main body of the Dunedin Town Hall need to submit a request via their eVision staff portal. You will find instructions for accessing eVision above.
A limited number of tickets are available for staff. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thanksgiving Service
The University Chaplaincy Team invites you to attend a brief ecumencial thanksgiving service for graduands, families, friends, and staff. Nau mai, haere mai! Everyone is welcome.
This will be held at the Holy Name Church, 420 Great King Street (opposite the Otago Museum), on the day of the ceremony, from 10:40am until 11:10am.
Please wear academic regalia if possible. The service will finish in time should you wish to join the procession of graduands to the Town Hall.
Graduation morning tea
A morning tea will be hosted by the University providing opportunity for graduands to celebrate with family, friends and staff. The morning tea will be held from 9.30am–11.00am.
Venue for the morning tea will be advised closer to the graduation ceremony.
Student and academic procession
Those taking part in the academic procession in the Dunedin Town Hall are invited to join the procession of graduands which leaves from the School of Dentistry, the procession will travel up Frederick Street to the intersection with George Street, then through George Street to the intersection of St Andrew Street and George Street, then along St Andrew Street to the intersection with Filleul Street, then along Filleul Street to Moray Place, and along Moray Place to Harrop Street.
On the days where two ceremonies are held, there will be only one procession, departing at 11:30am.
Please assemble 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Procession of academic staff into the Dunedin Town Hall
Marshalling of the academic procession will begin promptly 25 minutes before the ceremony commences and will take place in the Dunedin Centre.
The entrance to the Dunedin Centre is located on Harrop Street. Staff will be on hand to direct you.
