Erasmus+ opportunities for Otago staff
Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Erasmus+ offers mobility and cooperation opportunities in higher education, vocational education and training, school education (including early childhood education and care), adult education, youth and sport.
The University of Otago has established Erasmus+ agreements with a number of European institutions, allowing for cooperation and exchange of students and staff in the framework of Erasmus+.
Erasmus+ funding
Funding amounts may vary depending on the destination and length of the programme, but a typical Erasmus+ grant includes:
- €1,500 travel grant
- €1,280 lump sum for 2 travel and 5 working days (€160/day)
Funding is paid directly to the recipient in Euros, often in cash. Successful applicants must complete the Request for Event Attendance and Travel Approval form, detailing the total travel cost, the Erasmus+ grant awarded, any shortfall, and how that shortfall will be covered.
How to apply
Erasmus+ applications are coordinated by the Otago Global Office.
