Interest in entrepreneurship and innovation is growing on a global scale. Over the past five years, there has been a substantial increase in research funding for business innovation from government organisations across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The MBus in Entrepreneurship and Innovation equips students with in-depth subject knowledge, alongside critical thinking and leadership skills essential for success in the field.
The connection between critical thinking and innovation in entrepreneurship is both clear and strong. Our courses are led by world-renowned experts and feature guest lectures from leading practitioners in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
In this programme, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset and practices – learning to generate and evaluate ideas tied to opportunity recognition, while developing business models grounded in market analysis and customer value propositions. They’ll apply marketing techniques to innovation and entrepreneurial contexts, critically assess the value and critiques of entrepreneurship and innovation based on academic research, and explore the strategic choices, actions, and processes that shape an organisation’s strategy. In addition to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, students will develop advanced theoretical and technical knowledge in creative marketing for behaviour change.
Students will develop critical and strategic thinking skills, considering competing perspectives across disciplines, as well as gaining a deep understanding of competitive advantage and its sources. Furthermore, they will enhance their written and verbal communication abilities, enabling them to present coherent and persuasive analyses of academic readings and case studies.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation is also offered as subject for the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PGDipBus) and Postgraduate Certificate in Business (PGCertBus).
