SURV298 Introductory Surveying Field Camp
This field camp is run over three weeks in February each year. It gives students an excellent grounding in a range of field exercises and equipment. The first week of the course is held in Dunedin. For the second week the camp is relocated to Orangapai in the Maniototo Plain, where the students and staff are accommodated in a dormitory style facility. In addition to improving field skills and basic survey knowledge, the students get to know each other and the staff involved in the camp. Many life long friendships and associations are formed during this week.
