Our Tētēkura, Student Leads, work as part of the Sustainability Office team to invest their passion for sustainability into designing and creating positive changes on campus.
Throughout the year, our Tētēkura collaboratively design a series of sustainability experiences on campus to support our student community to be better connected to ideas of sustainability and social change.
This mahi includes events, campaigns, initiatives, creating space and idea generation.
Our Tētēkura are employed with the Office to work across the following mahi:
- Marketing and social media delivery
- Te Oraka mahi and development
- Events and whakawhanaungatanga (relationships) management
- Data analysis and goals reporting
- Sustainability Neighbourhood support
- Campaigns and initiative idea generation

Interested in joining the team for 2023?
As a Tētēkura, you will support the planning, co-ordination, and promotion of sustainable progress across campus. You can also expect to implement and facilitate engagement activities that support and nurture a University-wide culture of sustainability among staff and students.
You will get to collaborate with key individuals and groups across campus and in the wider community.
We have five roles available for 2023 and the role includes up to 8 hours of paid mahi – we are flexible about how these hours are done but you will need a level of availability for the year.
