Welcome from the Dean and Head of Campus
Nau mai, haere mai, tauti mai – a very warm welcome to Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo ki Pōneke, the University of Otago's Wellington campus.
Our team of students, researchers, teachers and professional staff work and learn from locations in the central city and in Newtown, close to Wellington Hospital.
We provide teaching for undergraduate medical and physiotherapy students in their senior years of study and run Aotearoa's only radiation therapy training programme. We also offer a wide range of postgraduate qualifications in the health sciences.
Our students benefit from being part of a flourishing community of researchers in public health and the clinical and biomedical sciences who are dedicated to making a real world difference through their work.
We place a high priority on our partnership with the mana whenua in our region, Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika and Ngāti Toa Rangatira and recognise the importance of Te Ao Māori.
If you are new to the capital, please take some time to enjoy our beautiful city. Our Wellington Activity Passport is full of ideas for exploring:
