Thesis topic

Effect of the menstrual cycle on suicide and suicidal behaviours.

Project summary

I am undertaking a PhD focused on exploring the potential link between the menstrual cycle and suicide with a special interest in the social, systemic, cultural, and psychological influences at play.

Initial scoping revealed significant disparities in what information pathologists collect regarding menstrual cycle data during autopsies. A survey has been disseminated to pathologists worldwide and seeks to further understand these variations in practice.
