The Art of Palliative Medicine - 2017 Semester 2
Mrs X looked cheerful and well, not at all like someone who was nearing the end of her life. She appeared in late middle age, wearing a bright dressing gown and neatly arranged hair with very few greys. Our conversation quickly moved through her very early presentation to the hospital, to her diagnosis and move to the hospice. We focused on her goals and what keeps her in such high spirits. I have tried to capture our conversation with Mrs X in my piece using various symbols arranged around a central empty space.
