The Art of Palliative Medicine - 2017 Semester 1
Three incredibly large concepts that some lock away for a rainy day whilst others stare them right in the face. I decided to create a picture using water-colour and a black vivid to conceptualise my thoughts from our visit. This was mainly because of two reasons. The first being the absolute contrast of the serene, peaceful watercolour against the dark, black and permanent vivid. I feel that this parallels death and dying's hidden depth. Death is finite but it can be serene and there is always hope. This hope may come in different shapes and sizes, and can mean completely different things to different people, but it's still there, bold and beautiful.
