The Art of Palliative Medicine - 2016 Semester 2
I chose to represent this interview in an artwork of a tree. To me, trees can represent many things and I've always been inspired by their shape and stature. However this time I chose a tree as it's either withering away or going through its winter changes, because in this state a tree is bare and vulnerable, and after talking to Mrs X I really saw that vulnerability that this stage in her illness had brought. Each part of the tree represents a different part of Mrs X, whether it be something within her or something in her life surrounding her.
