The Research and Enterprise office supports the development of all research at the Wellington campus by providing assistance with:

Research and Enterprise staff are the liaison between the Funding Bodies/Industry or Businesses and staff at the University. It is University policy that ALL research proposals, research contracts and contract variations are processed through the UOW Research & Enterprise Office.

NB: Staff are reminded that every application for external research funding needs to come through the Research and Enterprise Office. If you are not sure, please call and we will be able to advise you. All grant applications and proposals should be submitted by academic staff.

Inter-campus travel fund

The intercampus travel fund exists to support the development of collaborative research between or within Departments in the Otago Medical School (i.e. School of Biomedical Sciences; Dunedin School of Medicine; University of Otago, Christchurch; and University of Otago, Wellington).

Funding is available for travel and accommodation costs.  Preference is given to staff attempting to establish new collaborative research projects.

To apply for this funding, please complete the Intercampus Collaboration Research Fund application form.

Application are sent to the Associate Dean of Research for consideration (on the Wellington campus, this is Dr Sara Filoche: sara.filoche@otago.ac.nz) before being sent to the Manager of Otago Medical School, Bruce Smith, for confirmation and approval.
