Membership of the Library is available to staff and students of the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW) and Capital & Coast District staff.

Access to the physical library is only available to University staff and students.

Membership

UOW staff and students are automatically registered with the Library.

Capital and Coast District staff need to register and are required to provide their hospital identification when joining the Library. To request a registration form, please contact us:

Membership entitles the users to:

  • borrow books
  • access the services of specialist librarian staff
  • literature searches, current awareness and research services

The following services are available to members and are charged separately:

  • interloaning materials from other New Zealand libraries and overseas
