The term refers to the set of compulsory papers required to specialise in a particular subject. A double major is a single degree with two majors in it. Also used as a verb (e.g. to major in History). Use a lower case 'm'.

  • Charlotte chose Law as her major.
  • Harold's third child was thinking about majoring in Theatre Studies.
