Kiwis in Ireland
Irish migration to New Zealand has been significant, but there is also a considerable flow of New Zealanders to Ireland. Catering to some of these migrants is the New Zealand Ireland Association. The site includes a list of places to visit in Ireland which have New Zealand connections.
The Ulster New Zealand Trust, a registered charity, was established in 1988 to restore the birthplace at Glenavy of New Zealand Prime Minister John Ballance (1839-93) who founded the Wanganui Herald before entering Parliament in 1875. His restored birthplace not only commemorates his life and achievements, but is also a centre for promoting the historical, cultural, and economic links between Ireland and New Zealand. Visit the Trust's home page to learn more.
