Alison Wong – 2002
Although Alison Wong maintains she writes straight on to her computer, she still manages to accumulate sheets of hand-written scrawl that she confesses either gets binned because they are too messy, or if they are lucky, gets saved in one of her file boxes. Here is one survivor, a hand-written draft of interview notes gathered for her first novel, which was started while she was a Burns Fellow in 2002. It is due to be published by Picador in 2009. Wong also wrote poems that year, many of which were published in Cup.
