A short commentary on the prospects for our snow season this winter and in the future is given by Nicolas Cullen in the Otago Daily Times. The article also links some of these broader insights to the work that MRC members have been doing in the Water Resources project as part of the Deep South National Science Challenge. Importantly, we have made significant progress in refining the way we model seasonal snow and the response of glaciers to changes in the climate system.
